Leaked WhatsApp Chats Reveal Ambitious Plans Late MP Johana Ng’eno’s Photographer Nick Kosgei Had Before Tragic Helicopter Crash

As Kenya continues to mourn the loss of Johana Ng’eno and others who perished in the Mosop helicopter crash, new revelations have surfaced about the dreams and ambitions of one of the victims, 25-year-old Nick Kosgei, the MP’s official photographer.

Leaked WhatsApp chats now show that Kosgei was quietly building a communications brand that extended far beyond his role capturing political events.

The young creative, known for his professionalism and close working relationship with Ng’eno, had been handling multiple high-profile projects.

Screenshots of private conversations, shared by Nakuru West parliamentary aspirant Frankline Ngeno, reveal that Kosgei was in the process of designing campaign materials while also expanding his network of collaborators.

“Okay, sir, as the job grew, I looked for a graphics person from the ministry,” he wrote in one message, highlighting his efforts to grow his operations beyond the scope of a single assignment.

Friends and colleagues describe Kosgei as driven, humble, and ambitious. He had visions of establishing a communications platform, leveraging his skills in photography, graphics, and media management.

The chats illustrate his willingness to take on new challenges and his desire to leave a mark in the political and media world.

Tragically, all these plans were cut short by the crash that also claimed the lives of Ng’eno, teacher Carlos Keter, officer Amos Kipngetich Rotich, pilot George Were, and others.

Kosgei’s father revealed that his son had been the primary breadwinner for their family, making the loss not only emotional but also a devastating financial blow.

Social media has since been flooded with tributes, with many recalling Kosgei’s creativity, dedication, and loyalty.

Frankline Ngeno, who had engaged Kosgei for his campaign, mourned him as “a dependable professional whose dedication, humility, and loyalty will remain etched in our hearts.”

Eyewitnesses reported that poor weather and low visibility may have contributed to the crash.

Investigations are ongoing, but the heartbreaking reality is that Kosgei’s ambitions, like his life, were abruptly ended.

These leaked chats shed light on a young man determined to carve out his own path, someone who was quietly building a promising career in communications and politics.

For many Kenyans, Kosgei’s story is a reminder of the potential lost in the tragedy, and the human dreams that were never realized.
