Senior Police Officer Killed By Speeding Car Escaping Road Block

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night when a senior police officer was killed after being hit by a vehicle trying to break through a roadblock.

The crash took place on a busy highway where officers had set up routine traffic checks to address rising insecurity and reckless driving.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle sped toward the roadblock and ignored multiple stop signals. 

Despite efforts by officers to flag it down, the driver continued accelerating.

The senior officer stepped forward to issue a final stop order, but the driver rammed into him and dragged him for several meters before speeding away.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival due to critical injuries.

A manhunt has been launched for the suspect. Detectives are analyzing CCTV footage and following witness accounts.
