Tear-Jerking Videos of TikToker Sportpesa Ronoh Celebrating His Wife and Children Resurface After His Death Alongside MP Johana Ng’eno, Leaving Kenyans in Deep Mourning

Kenyans are still struggling to come to terms with the heartbreaking loss of TikToker and gamer Sportpesa Ronoh, whose joyful family videos have taken on a painful new meaning following his sudden death in a tragic helicopter crash.

Ronoh was among the six people who died alongside Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno on Saturday, February 28.

What has shaken many Kenyans even more is the timing of Ronoh’s final social media posts. Just hours before the fatal crash, the 34-year-old father went live and later shared a short clip from inside the helicopter while flying over parts of Trans-Nzoia County.

At the time, fans watched casually. Now, the video has become a haunting reminder of how quickly life can change.

Ronoh, a popular gamer and TikToker, was known not just for his online gaming content but for the love he openly showed his family.

His TikTok page is filled with videos of him laughing with his wife, dancing with his children, and celebrating small, ordinary moments at home. After news of his death broke, followers flooded his page, revisiting those clips with heavy hearts.

In one of his most shared videos, Ronoh is seen smiling broadly as his wife joins him on camera, the two exchanging playful glances as their children hover nearby.

The warmth in the clip has left viewers emotional, many admitting it is difficult to watch knowing the man behind the smile is gone forever.

The tragic helicopter crash occurred at around 4:45 pm in the Chepkiep area of Mosop Constituency, Nandi County.

The ill-fated flight claimed the lives of six people, including Ronoh and Ng’eno’s photographer, Nick Kosgei. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

According to his social media profiles, Sportpesa Ronoh was born on January 20, 1992. He was married and a proud father of three children, whom he frequently referred to as his biggest motivation.

Friends describe him as a hands-on family man who balanced content creation with being fully present at home.

Following his death, Kenyans — including musicians, influencers, and ordinary fans — camped on his final TikTok posts to console his widow and children.

Messages of “Pole sana,” prayers, and words of encouragement poured in, reflecting a collective grief that went beyond the digital space.

The loss of Ronoh has also reignited conversations about how social media captures life’s happiest moments, sometimes just before tragedy strikes.

Many users noted that his page now feels like a digital memory book — one his children may one day look back on to see how deeply their father loved them.
