Alfred Keter Compares President Ruto to a Principal Pleading With Parents After Poor Results

Former Nandi Hills Member of Parliament, Alfred Keter, has sharply criticized President William Ruto’s leadership.

Comparing him to a school principal pleading with parents not to withdraw their children after poor academic results. Speaking during a public gathering in Nandi County,

Keter accused the Kenya Kwanza government of failing to fulfill its campaign promises and instead resorting to empty assurances while Kenyans continue to face economic hardship.

Keter claimed that despite repeated promises of economic revival, the administration has not provided a clear roadmap .

To address key issues such as the rising cost of living, unemployment, and corruption.

He noted that citizens were losing confidence in the government’s ability to deliver meaningful change, with many families struggling to meet their daily needs.

“The government is busy with public relations campaigns rather than implementing solutions that can improve people’s lives,” Keter remarked.

He further urged the President to focus less on political rallies and instead channel efforts into developing policies.

That would directly support farmers, small business owners, and the unemployed.

Keter also defended critics of the government, stating that raising concerns about governance should not be mistaken for disloyalty.

“We are not enemies of progress; we only want a government that listens and acts in the interest of its people,” he said.

His remarks come amid growing public frustration over high taxes, inflation, and the struggling economy.

Which have sparked nationwide debates about the effectiveness of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s .

“Bottom-up” economic model. Many Kenyans are now calling for concrete action and accountability from leaders as economic pressures continue to mount.
