Dennis Itumbi Forced To Cut Speech Short In Mbeere North And Join Residents In Making These Chants

Mbeere North residents were in high spirits this week as they received free vegetables in what appeared to be both a generous gesture and a strategic political move.

Dennis Itumbi, a prominent political figure and government spokesperson, led the distribution of fresh nyanya (tomatoes) .

Sukuma wiki (kale) to locals, coinciding with his campaign for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Leo Wamuthende.

The event, held in the heart of Mbeere North, attracted hundreds of residents who lined up early in the morning to receive their share of the produce.

Itumbi had initially planned to give a speech highlighting the UDA candidate’s vision, but the overwhelming enthusiasm of residents forced him to cut his speech short.

Instead, he joined the crowd in chanting slogans in support of Leo Wamuthende, creating a lively and spontaneous atmosphere.

Speaking briefly before joining the chants, Itumbi emphasized the importance of community engagement in the upcoming elections.

“We are here to support the people and ensure they feel the presence of leadership that cares,” he said. He encouraged residents to actively participate in the political process.

Highlighting the campaign priorities of Wamuthende, which include economic empowerment, access to social services, and local development.

Local leaders and residents welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial. Many noted that the act went beyond politics.

Offering practical support to households, particularly in rural areas where access to fresh vegetables can be limited.

Political analysts have observed that such initiatives are becoming increasingly common in Kenyan politics.

As candidates and their teams seek to connect directly with voters through tangible support.

While some critics view these distributions as political tactics, supporters argue that they provide immediate relief to communities while promoting civic engagement.

As the campaign season heats up, Mbeere North residents are set to continue enjoying initiatives that combine generosity with active political participation.
