A Delegation From Ndhiwa Led By Their MP Gifts The Odinga Family A Bull, Sheep During Their Visit

A delegation from Ndhiwa, led by their Member of Parliament Martin Owino.

On Sunday paid condolence visit to the Odinga family at Kango ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County.

The visit was part of the ongoing tributes to the late Raila Odinga, whose passing has continued to draw national and international attention.

During the visit, Ruth Odinga was honored by the delegation for her steadfast leadership and resilience in the face of loss.

The leaders took time to reflect on Raila’s political legacy and the Odinga family’s enduring contribution to Kenya’s democracy and freedom struggle.

In her remarks, Ruth Odinga clarified a statement she recently made that had been misreported in media.

Saying her message was not meant to oppose political alliances but to advocate for stronger ODM.

“I am not against a coalition between ODM and other parties.

What I keep saying is that we must have one strong ODM,” she stated. “We have been in the trenches and we know what unity can do.”

Ruth recalled the 2007 general elections, noting that despite the disputed presidential results,

ODM’s unity ensured the party’s representation remained strong.

“Our victory was robbed at the presidency level, but we had the strength in numbers.

Otherwise, how could we have ended up with one of us as the Speaker of the National Assembly?” she asked.

She added by emphasizing the importance of political preparedness, remarking, “You can’t go to war without a weapon. And the stronger the weapon, the better.”

The Ndhiwa delegation’s visit showed ODM’s solidarity and the shared resolve to preserve Raila Odinga’s political vision through unity, loyalty, and collective purpose.
