Missing 12-Year-Old Lawrence Mwangi Gicheha Last Seen at Thika Main Stage, Family Appeals for Help

A family is appealing to the public for assistance in tracing a 12-year-old boy who reportedly went missing while travelling to visit his grandmother in Kandara. 

According to information shared on social media, the child, identified as Lawrence Mwangi Gicheha, has not been seen since Monday, 21st July 2026.

According to the family, Lawrence was last seen at around 11:00 a.m. at Thika Main Stage. He was reportedly on his way to his grandmother's home in Kandara when he disappeared. 

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have not been made public, and no further details about his movements after he was last seen were provided.

The family described Lawrence as brown in complexion, slim and tall, with short black hair. They also stated that he has visible scars from a previous hand surgery, which they believe could help members of the public identify him if they see him.

According to the information shared, Lawrence was wearing a maroon tracksuit, a red T-shirt, a blue sweater with a yellow collar, and black Crocs at the time he was last seen. The family hopes these clothing details will assist anyone who may have come across him.

The appeal asks members of the public to remain alert and share any information that could assist in locating the missing child.
