Following the closure of schools on 31 July, learners will proceed for the August holiday before reporting back for the third and final term on 24 August.
The final term is expected to focus heavily on revision and preparation for national examinations, particularly for candidates sitting the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and other national assessments.
Schools are expected to intensify revision programmes to help examination candidates strengthen their understanding of key subjects ahead of the examination period.
The Ministry of Education has reiterated the importance of adhering to the official school calendar and maintaining discipline and effective learning until the last day of the term.
The ministry has also indicated that future academic calendars may be reviewed to ensure a balanced school schedule that supports quality education and improved learning outcomes.
