Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has assured Jubilee Party members that future party nominations will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
He said the process will not be influenced by money, personal relationships, or special treatment of any kind.
Matiang’i spoke after a National Executive Council meeting chaired by party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He said Jubilee wants to restore trust among its supporters by ensuring that only candidates with genuine public support secure party tickets.
According to Matiang’i, the party has put in place clear systems to prevent bribery and favoritism during nominations.
He warned aspirants against giving money to individuals who claim they can influence outcomes, saying such practices have no place in Jubilee.
The assurances came as Jubilee announced a major reorganisation of its leadership structure.
The changes are aimed at strengthening the party as it prepares for the 2027 General Election.
During the NEC meeting, several officials were appointed to key positions to improve coordination, efficiency, and grassroots mobilisation.
The party said the new team will focus on rebuilding Jubilee into a disciplined and nationally competitive political outfit.
Jeremiah Kioni was appointed Deputy Party Leader in charge of operations.
He is expected to oversee party activities across the country and play a key role in engagement with other political and social groups.
Ole Kenta was named Secretary General, with Zack Kinuthia taking up the role of Deputy Secretary General.
Yassin Noor Haji was appointed National Organising Secretary, while Vincent Mogaka Kimoki became the new Chairperson.
