ODM Hails Cooperation With UDA After Strong By-Election Wins

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has praised the recent collaboration between the party and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), saying it helped both sides achieve strong results in the latest by-elections.

Speaking at ODM headquarters after meeting newly elected MPs, senior party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga urged both sides to fully implement the joint 10-point agenda agreed upon by Raila Odinga and President William Ruto.

He said the commitments must be completed before the 2027 General Election for the partnership to remain meaningful.

Dr. Oburu congratulated all ODM candidates, saying the party performed well wherever it fielded contenders.

He also noted that UDA’s candidates succeeded in the areas where they stood, describing the outcome as proof that the cooperation between the two parties is working.

He emphasized that ODM must remain active and united, adding that the party’s strength comes from its national character and long-term goals for Kenya.

Dr. Oburu encouraged elected leaders to stay focused and serve with dedication, warning that losing momentum could weaken the party’s influence.

The ODM leaders present highlighted the growing participation of young leaders in the party, saying this shows that a new generation is ready to take up national leadership roles.

Dr. Oburu said the youth must continue shaping the party’s future and ensure it remains strong across the country.

During the briefing, he stressed the importance of the 10-point agenda, calling it the backbone of the current cooperation.

He insisted that all items on the agenda must be carried out fully before the next election cycle begins.

The meeting also served as a moment to welcome new MPs and encourage those who lost to remain committed to the party.

ODM officials thanked supporters across the country for standing with the party and urged members to keep working for unity and progress.

The party believes the broad-based arrangement with UDA will continue to provide stability and help both sides address national issues more effectively.
