Meet The Late Raila's Longest Serving Driver Who Was Hardly Mentioned During Raila's Burial Ceremony


About the late Raila Odinga's longest serving driver, who was hardly mentioned during Raila's funeral ceremony in Bondo, Siaya County.

According to Etale, the driver is identified as Philip Juma or popularly known as Omwami. 

In his caption, Etale has revealed that he met with the late Raila's driver in the year 2000. That was the same day that Etale met his late boss that is Raila Odinga.

Etale captioned the said post saying," Baba’s longest serving driver Philip Juma (Omwami).

 I first met him in 2000 the same day I met my late leader. May the soul of Baba find peace in the heavens." He wrote.

The photo that Etale has highlighted, captured together with Juma, has been taken on Thursday 23rd October, 2025 morning at Raila's home in Bondo.

Where Etale had gone to comfort Mama Ida Odinga few days after his late boss was laid to rest.

During funeral ceremony of the late ODM Chief, Juma was never mentioned, few of Raila's workers. 

Were the ones who were mentioned including his longest serving bodyguard Mr. Maurice Ogeta, his doctor and few others. 

It is understood that Raila had a huge team of workers who could be hardly identified at once by few people who were given opportunity to speak in his funeral ceremony.
