“Face Ruto if You’re Strong Enough" — Atandi Dares Sifuna and Babu

Alego Usonga Member of Parliament, Hon. Sam Atandi, has today dared Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to declare their interest in the presidency

 if they believe they are strong enough to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 general election.

Speaking during a public gathering in Siaya County, Atandi said that the two leaders

 have been making unnecessary noise within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) by opposing the idea of the party supporting President Ruto.

He challenged them to prove their political strength instead of criticizing decisions made by the party leadership.

Atandi stated that ODM currently has no strong presidential candidate to face Ruto and that, for this reason, the party’s best option is to support the sitting president.

He said the move is in the interest of maintaining political stability and ensuring the party remains relevant in the national political space.

“If Sifuna and Babu think they are men enough to face Ruto, let them come out openly so that ODM can support them.

But as it stands, we have no serious candidate, and the party will stand with President Ruto,” Atandi declared.

He added that the era of constant political rebellion within ODM should come to an end.
