Atandi stated that ODM currently has no strong presidential candidate to face Ruto and that, for this reason, the party’s best option is to support the sitting president.
He said the move is in the interest of maintaining political stability and ensuring the party remains relevant in the national political space.
“If Sifuna and Babu think they are men enough to face Ruto, let them come out openly so that ODM can support them.
But as it stands, we have no serious candidate, and the party will stand with President Ruto,” Atandi declared.
He added that the era of constant political rebellion within ODM should come to an end.
